AUSTRALIAN PAPER SIZES

Australia uses the international ISO A-series. The system is beautifully simple: A0 is one square metre of paper, and every size after it is the previous one folded in half. Same proportions all the way down, which is why an A4 design scales cleanly to an A3 poster.

The odd ones out

Business card	90 × 54	The Australian standard. Wallet friendly, and the size we print unless you ask otherwise

Common signage sizes

Wide format doesn't follow the A-series - signs are cut to whatever the job needs. That said, some sizes come up constantly:

Which size should you choose?

• Letterbox drops and handouts: DL or A5 - big enough to say something, cheap enough to print thousands.
• In-store promotion: A4 and A3 posters do the everyday work; A2 and above for windows and walls.
• Events: pull up banners for indoors, corflute and vinyl for outdoors.
• Not sure? Ask us. Quantity, viewing distance and budget usually make the answer obvious.
