What eco promotional products cost

Eco does not have to cost more

100 cork floating keychains with a one colour print come to $291 plus GST, which is $2.91 each including setup. Recycled plastic pens sit within cents of standard ones. Bamboo and cork items usually carry a small premium, and organic cotton bags cost noticeably more than non-woven. The gap is smaller than most people expect, and on the cheap lines it has almost closed.

What the materials actually mean

Recycled plastic is made from post-consumer waste, usually PET from drink bottles, and it is the most common eco material here. Bamboo grows fast and needs little water, which is why it turns up in pens, notebooks and cutlery. Cork is bark harvested without felling the tree. Stone paper uses no water or bleach. Jute and organic cotton are the natural fibre options for bags.

Being honest about it

A reusable item only beats a disposable one if it actually gets reused. A cotton tote handed out at an expo and left in a drawer is worse for the environment than the plastic bag it replaced. So the real sustainability decision is not which material you pick, it is whether you buy something people want to keep. We would rather sell you fewer good items than more cheap ones.

When it matters commercially

Council tenders, school procurement, health services and an increasing number of corporate suppliers now ask what your merchandise is made from. Having a clear answer, with the material named on the order, is worth more than the marketing value of the item itself. Every product in this range carries its eco flag from the supplier feed rather than from us.

Where the eco range gets used

Council and government

Community days, waste education programs and consultation events, where the merchandise has to match the message being delivered.

Schools

Sustainability programs, book bags and enrolment packs, where students and parents will ask what it is made from.

Tenders and procurement

Submissions where environmental criteria are scored. Naming the material and the recycled content in your response is worth points.

Health and wellness businesses

Where a plastic giveaway undercuts everything the brand says about itself.

Tourism and eco operators

National park and marine tour operators on the Coast, where the branding has to be consistent with the product being sold.

Corporate ESG reporting

Businesses that have to account for procurement decisions and need the material on the invoice.

Approve your mockup

You get a visual showing your logo in position and at size on the actual product. Nothing is decorated until you approve it.

We produce and deliver

Standard production is about seven to ten working days after approval, plus freight. Tell us your deadline up front and we will only quote what can make it.

Artwork for promotional products

Send a vector file: EPS, AI or PDF with the fonts outlined. A JPG or PNG taken off a website cannot be screen printed or engraved cleanly at product size. Send your brand colours as Pantone references too, because decoration is colour matched to Pantone rather than CMYK, and a colour that looks right on screen will not necessarily mix the same in ink.

Decoration areas are smaller than people expect. If your logo has fine detail, small type or a tagline, it may need simplifying to survive at 35mm wide. We will tell you before you commit, and you will see it on the mockup at actual size. If all you have is a low resolution logo, say so and we will redraw it.

Frequently asked questions

Are eco promotional products more expensive?

Less than you would think. Recycled plastic pens cost within cents of standard ones. Bamboo and cork carry a small premium. Organic cotton bags are the biggest jump, because the fibre genuinely costs more. Price a few side by side using the calculators and you will see the real gap for your job.

What does the eco flag on a product mean?

It comes from the supplier’s own product data, which identifies the item as made from recycled, renewable or biodegradable material. We pass that through rather than deciding it ourselves. If you need to substantiate a specific claim for a tender, ask us and we will get it in writing from the supplier.

Which eco material is best?

The one that gets kept. A reusable item only pays back its footprint through repeated use, so a well made bottle someone carries for three years beats a cheap tote left in a drawer. Choose on quality first and material second.

Do you have Australian Made eco products?

Some products carry both flags. The Australian Made range is a separate collection and worth looking at alongside this one if both matter to your brief.

Can I get recycled paper notebooks?

Yes. Recycled paper, kraft covers, cork covers and stone paper are all in the notebook range, and they are flagged so you can filter for them.

What is the minimum order on eco products?

The same as the equivalent standard product, usually 50 to 100 units. The material does not change the minimum.

Can you tell me the recycled content percentage?

For many products yes, but not all suppliers publish it. If a specific percentage is required for a tender, tell us before you order and we will only quote items we can substantiate.
