Life-size (and larger) cardboard and corflute cut-outs with strut backs.
A standee is a printed board cut to shape with a strut on the back, so it stands up on its own anywhere. Choose size, material and sides above and the price appears, GST and standard Australia-wide delivery included.
They work because they break the plane. Every other piece of signage in a room is flat against a wall, and a life-size cut-out standing in the middle of a foyer is the one thing people walk over to and photograph. That is the whole trick.
| Size | One | Ten | Per unit at ten |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1000 × 1000mm | $135 | $453 | $45 |
| 2000 × 1000mm | $150 | $727 | $73 |
| 3000 × 1000mm | $204 | $959 | $96 |
| 2000 × 2000mm | $238 | $1,295 | $130 |
A single life-size standee at $150 is one of the cheapest pieces of high-impact display on this site. At ten it drops to about $73 each, which is what makes a set for a franchise or a multi-venue promotion worth doing in one run.
Signflute 5mm is a corrugated polypropylene board. It is rigid, it does not care about moisture, and it survives being stored and reused. Choose it for anything going outside a controlled indoor space, anything that will be used more than once, and anything that has to last a season. It is also the cheaper of the two at volume, noticeably so.
Cardboard 10mm is a thicker honeycomb board with a premium print surface and a slightly crisper finish up close. It is the traditional retail and cinema standee material. Choose it for a short indoor promotion where it will be seen close up, and where it will be recycled at the end rather than stored.
At one unit the two are close in price. At ten, Signflute is meaningfully cheaper, so if you are ordering a set and they are going anywhere near weather or storage, Signflute is the straightforward answer.
Every standee ships with a strut back. On a hard floor that is all it needs. On carpet, in a doorway, or anywhere with foot traffic and a breeze, tape or weight the base, because a tall cut-out is light and will go over. For anything permanent or outdoors, an A-frame or a rigid aluminium sign is the better tool.
Smaller counter-top versions of the same thing are strut cards, and larger flat backdrops are media walls. Ask us if you are not sure which format suits the space.
A product or brand character at the end of an aisle. Stops people who were walking past to somewhere else.
Life-size cut-outs pull people into a stand from the aisle far better than another flat banner does.
Cut-outs of the couple, the birthday person or a photo prop. Cheap, memorable, and everyone photographs it.
Player cut-outs for presentation nights, member drives and sponsor activations.
An agent cut-out at the entry, or a feature graphic in an otherwise empty display room.
Mascots, wayfinding characters and photo opportunities that get shared by parents afterwards.
If you supply a photograph rather than finished artwork, tell us and we will cut out the background and build the shape. Send the highest resolution original you have, not a version that has been through social media, because the compression shows badly at life size.
Every file is preflight-checked by a person and you approve a digital proof, including the cut line, before anything is printed or cut.
A print-ready PDF in CMYK at 150dpi final size, with the cut path as a vector on its own layer and 10mm bleed outside it. If all you have is a photograph, send us the highest resolution original and we will cut out the background and build the shape for you.
A 2000 x 1000mm life-size cut-out in Signflute is $150 including GST and delivery, or $727 for ten which is about $73 each. 1000 x 1000mm starts at $135, 3000 x 1000mm at $204 and 2000 x 2000mm at $238.

Yes, every standee ships with a strut back and that is enough on a hard floor. On carpet, in a doorway, or anywhere with foot traffic and a breeze, tape or weight the base. A tall cut-out is light and will go over.
Briefly and in still conditions only. Signflute handles the moisture but any large cut-out acts as a sail. For genuine outdoor use choose an A-frame or a rigid aluminium sign, both of which are built for it.
Higher than most people expect. At life size a person's head is around 250mm across, so a photo pulled off social media will look soft and blocky. Send the original camera file if you have it.
Almost, but thin protrusions snap off. We simplify the outline anywhere the shape gets narrower than about 50mm, and we cut outside hair, hands and props rather than following every detail. You will see the exact cut line on your proof before anything is cut.
Straight on, at the subject's eye level, with even lighting and as much separation from the background as you can manage. A person photographed from below at an angle looks wrong once the background is removed and they are standing on a real floor.
Yes. The digital proof shows the artwork and the cut path together, and nothing is printed or cut until you approve it. On a shaped product that check matters more than usual.
Yes, those are strut cards, the same product at a smaller scale for a counter, table or desk. Tell us the size and quantity and we will quote it.
Standard production is 3 to 5 business days from artwork approval, then delivery. Every effort is made to get your job onto the press for the dispatch shown. On the odd occasion a press or freight delay pushes it out, and we will tell you as soon as we know.
Yes, and standard delivery is already in the price shown. Cut-outs are packed flat and boxed. We are at Baringa on the Sunshine Coast and often deliver locally ourselves.
